Organizations and roles
Connections belong to an organization, so a team can share accounts and databases without sharing a login.
Organizations
Signing up creates your organization, and you become its administrator. Connections, members, and invitations all live inside it. Every connector token is still bound to exactly one connection, regardless of who created it.
Invite teammates
Administrators invite people from the organization settings. Each invitation produces a link:
- With SMTP configured, the invitation is emailed to the recipient.
- Without SMTP, the link is still created and can be copied and sent by hand.
See Configuration for the mail settings.
Roles
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Manage members and invitations, create and remove connections, and manage all connector tokens |
| Member | Use the connections they can access and manage connector tokens for them |
Roles control the management UI only. They never widen a connector token: a token reaches exactly the actions, chats, and tables in its own scope.
Offboarding
Removing a member takes away their access to the dashboard. Connector tokens they created belong to the connection and keep working until they expire or are revoked, so review and revoke tokens when someone leaves. See Tokens and permissions.
